Jesse Torres has spent over two decades as a voice in the Dalhart community—but nothing prepared him for the loss of his son, firefighter Brendan Torres, in the line of duty on October 4, 2022.

Jesse Torres is a native dalhartan and as been with the local radio station four 24 years. He is the father of the late firefighter Brendan Torres EOW 10-4-22. He has since been an advocate for first responders, and their need to have a better grief network and has devoted airtime to public service announcements for hiring, grief, safety and local fundraising efforts of all departments.
