Sgt. Erik Lavigne

Sgt. Erik Lavigne has been in law enforcement since 2006 and currently serves as a Real Time Crime Center Sergeant. Over the course of his career, he has worked patrol, bicycle patrol, academy instruction, property crimes investigations, patrol supervision, and real time crime operations. His areas of specialization include police use of force, public order response, undercover buy backs, drones, and real time crime center operations.

Erik is also an IMA Reservist Security Forces member with the United States Air Force, assigned to the 802nd Security Forces Squadron at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio. He holds dual master’s degrees in Criminology and Criminal Justice from Texas Christian University.
Since 2021, Erik has been the creator and host of Two Cops One Donut, a podcast and media platform focused on bridging the gap between police and the public. Through honest conversations, real-world experience, and a willingness to tackle controversial topics, Erik brings a balanced perspective to modern policing, one that is neither copaganda nor anti-police outrage.

His work focuses on helping citizens better understand police decision-making while also challenging law enforcement to understand public frustration, accountability, and trust. Whether discussing use of force, crime trends, public safety technology, or the gray areas of policing, Erik brings nearly two decades of experience, education, humor, and perspective to the conversation.
