Nick Wyborn is an Australian emergency services, public safety, training, and mental health professional whose career has spanned policing, firefighting, emergency response, rescue, security, corrections, and frontline education.

Nick began his public safety career with the New South Wales Police Force, where he served as a police officer and later as an Operational Safety Instructor with the Weapons & Tactics Training Unit at the NSW Police Academy. His extensive training has taken him internationally, including to the United States, Canada, and Israel, where he pursued advanced education in officer safety, defensive tactics, active-shooter response, and tactical operations.

His career has also included service as an on-call firefighter with Fire + Rescue NSW, a correctional officer with Corrective Services NSW, an Emergency Services Officer, and a member of industrial emergency response teams. His operational experience encompasses firefighting, HAZMAT, medical response, road crash rescue, confined-space rescue, vertical and rope rescue, maritime rescue, and emergency management. He has also served as a volunteer with the NSW State Emergency Service.

Nick is the founder and lead trainer of **Safepoint Consulting** and the founder of **Frontline Collective**, an initiative focused on supporting veterans and first responders through mental health, wellness, fitness, training, and operational longevity.

A strong advocate for first responder mental health, Nick has completed extensive education in mental health, community services, resilience, suicide intervention, psychological first aid, and peer support. He is currently continuing his studies in counselling and healthcare with the goal of further supporting those who serve on the front lines.

Nick holds postgraduate qualifications in Strategic Leadership, Management and Learning, and Emergency and Disaster Management, along with an extensive portfolio of qualifications across public safety, emergency management, firefighting, rescue, occupational health and safety, leadership, training, mental health, security, and fitness. He is also a Fellow of multiple professional training and leadership organizations.

He is the published author of *Defensive Tactics for Security Professionals: A Comprehensive Guide for Staying Safe in the Security Industry* and has spent much of his career training others to operate more safely, effectively, and resiliently in high-risk environments.

From policing and tactical instruction to firefighting, rescue, mental health advocacy, and frontline education, Nick’s career has been built around one central mission: helping the people who serve others remain capable, prepared, and well enough to continue serving.
